'Govert Flinck. Reflecting History' at the Museum Kurhaus Kleve until 17th January
Flinck's painting of a shepherd and shepherdess in a pastoral landscape is now on loan to the exhibtion Govert Flinck. Reflecting History at the Museum Kurhaus Kleve. The first exhibition of Flinck's work in more than half a century, the show explores the richly varied oeuvre of this important Amsterdam painter. A native of Cleves, Flinck studied with Rembrandt before establishing himself as one of the leading paintings of his generation. Already in his lifetime, his fame surpassed that of his teacher.
