Johnny Van Haeften is delighted to be participating in London Art Week Digital from 2-16 July 2021.  Our contribution to the online exhibition “Revolution and Renewal” is a painting by Jan Brueghel the Younger illustrating the biblical episode known as Noli me Tangere (touch me not).  The subject  corresponds to the theme of the exhibition in the first instance because Christ’s resurrection represents a renewal of life, and secondly, because the life, death and resurrection of Christ sparked a revolution in religious faith that gave rise to a new religion – Christianity.  To see the week’s programme of events and online exhibitions, please visit the London Art Week website click on the link.
